Countless pets — and owners — suffer from parasites due to spotty parasite-control programs. Exponent PR worked with Novartis Animal Health to sponsor the Companion Animal Parasite Council (CAPC), a multi-disciplinary task force to develop new veterinary guidelines for parasite protection. Within six months of the comprehensive launch to veterinary professionals, including media events, symposia and industry education, 55 percent of practitioners were aware of the new CAPC guidelines and 42 percent planned to prescribe parasite protection more frequently.
