Read In Color

After the murder of George Floyd in the Minneapolis community, Little Free Library teamed up with Exponent PR to help create change. Cue the inception of Read in Color, an initiative bringing diverse books to Little Free Library book-sharing boxes around the world.

Read in Color: a diversity initiative by Little Free Library and Exponent

Read in Color aims to amplify BIPOC and LGBTQ voices to spark understanding, empathy and inclusion for all people in our communities.

And it made an impact! National media outlets along with those in the Twin Cities — the origin of last summer’s social unrest and where the program launched — covered the media kick-off event and inspirational story.

Join the initiative to Read in Color: Take a book. Sign the Pledge. Start a conversation. Change our world.
